Michael Bailey is Head of Private Equity Multi-Strategy Funds at Fidelity Investments. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and other financial products and services to institutions, financial intermediaries, and individuals.

In this role, Mr. Bailey leads Fidelity’s Private Equity Multi-Strategy team and is responsible for investments in funds and co-investments managed by private equity firms. He is also co-portfolio manager of Fidelity Private Equity Multi-Strategy Funds.

Prior to joining Fidelity, Mr. Bailey was a director of private equity at Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management. At Mass PRIM, he led a team investing in the private equity portfolio, part of the fund for Massachusetts public employee pension plans. Before Mass PRIM, Mr. Bailey served as a director of manager selection at HighVista Strategies. Additionally, he was a director of private equity at Lucent Asset Management, which he joined following investment banking roles at Deutsche Bank and J.P. Morgan. He brings over 23 years of expertise to the role and has been in the financial industry since 1986.
Mr. Bailey earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Northwestern University.
